Castronovo Arrested
Let me be the first to stand up and denounce this ridiculous arrest. He grabbed a fucking cell phone from his girlfriend. Big God damn deal. During the course of many relationships, I've been slapped, kicked, punched, threatened and a few other pleasantries. The laws are simply rigged to shit on men and we're not hysterical crybabies that dial 911 for the simplest of shit. There's no "equality" in this country. Minorities and women, especially minority women, have it made. Unless I see his bimbo girlfriend with a black eye or some missing fucking teeth, I think SHE should be arrested for misuse of a 911 call. People are just fucking pathetic with some of these 911 calls, and she seems to fall into that category. Maybe I'm wrong, and we'll see pictures of her face showing that Deen belted out the Line Of Fire drumming on her grill, but I fucking doubt it. Dump her, dude, and find someone that can handle a little passion in the relationship. "Wah wah wah ... I'm calling my daddy on you, Deen."

Re: Castronovo Arrested
Morning sunlight on her face
As he wakes her with a fist
She's been everything he wanted
They were married as high school sweethearts
Never dreamed it'd be like this
Finding crack for them comes easy
Trying hard just to make a living
Seems Schon won't give him a break
Well as long as he's got a fist
Ooh, they'll find a way
There's a better life
Waiting out there in prison
She's gotta learn to duck
The telephone is flying at her head
There's a better life
He'll find it in the state pen (keep dropping soap)
She shows him bruises every time he sees her smile
They've been more than addicts
There's no mountain of coke they can't do
Can't stop dreaming of 8 balls together
Gotta rise above the flying fists
Beyond the cheap hotels
To a place where injuries are treated
And custody battles are won
As he wakes her with a fist
She's been everything he wanted
They were married as high school sweethearts
Never dreamed it'd be like this
Finding crack for them comes easy
Trying hard just to make a living

Re: Castronovo Arrested
I agree with everything you posted above. My wife once threatened to call the police when I LEFT THE HOUSE to end/avoid an argument and stayed overnight at a local hotel. She claimed I could have been arrested for abandoment since I left her and the kid alone without saying where I was going.

Re: Castronovo Arrested
I agree with you guys. In an ideal relationship no one would slap, kick, punch, threaten the other person, but it's no more right for a woman to do it than a man. I do think men get the short end of the stick in this situation sometimes. But I think women get screwed in other aspects of relationships more often than men.

Next time just say "The strip club!" before you leave.
You're right, though, Ed. And I think neither of us is condoning pounding on a woman (other than sexually

Re: Castronovo Arrested
Some women are actually proud of it when they call the police to say they've been assulted-or raped. I hate it when women come in to ask me to test them for STDs because they've been "raped" then when I ask them to tell me what happened they tell me "I don't remember, we were drinking, the next then I knew I woke up in bed with him and we were both naked so he must have drugged me." WTF???? So the guy gets arrested and even if the charges are dropped he's got that label of being a rapist.

). The thing here is that common sense has to rule over sensationalism. If this woman was truly scared for her safety, then, by all means, dial up the fuzz. But I doubt that's the case. Women use this as a sick control method and the laws are slanted to have you locked up. Moreover, this RUINS people. Your neighbors look at you funny, people talk about you and your image is ruined. And all of this over (possibly) ... just taking her cell phone away. It's fucking crazy, man.
Yep way too many innocent guys get in trouble cause of women who misuse the 911 too quickly.

Re: Castronovo Arrested
And the most fucking ridiculous reason I've heard the police use when they realize the woman really called for no fucking reason is "Well, someone has to go to jail." Yeah, you, asshole. Go back to the station and dig up some addresses on fucking drug dealers or gang bangers. Leave a guy that grabbed his girlfriend's arm and pulled her drunk ass out of a party because she was being a cunt alone!

Re: Castronovo Arrested
Dan you're making some great general points here. But I want to wait for this story to develop (if it does) before commenting on the situation's specifics.
One thing I've noticed with women is that, much like we guys don't really know how to handle or understand crying over anything short of a death in the family, they really don't understand how the typical male is wired to react to anger/duress not by crying, but with more physical and aggressive actions.
They don't understand that where they cry, we might pound a fist on a desk or table, scream, or maybe even throw something (not at them). We're just more hard-wired to be aggressive and angry rather than introverted and sad (i.e., crying) in response to a fight. I've seen women overreact to shit like that (first-hand, too... I used to have a pretty bad temper, but not in a physically threatening way, just screaming, throwing shit, punching walls, generally acting like an idiot). I had a past girlfriend who equated my throwing a jar of pretzels across the room in frustration at the Cavs blowing the Magic series that one year with the possibility of my "hitting her someday." Totally absurd, but that's just how they react and she legitimately feared that even though we'd dated for 3 years with nothing close to that ever happening. Even after I showed her a text from my VERY mild-mannered friend indicating he broke his coffee table the same night, she didn't understand. This situation sounds like it could potentially be similar.
So maybe this broad overreacted to Deen just getting mad in a similar fashion and the authorities gave him the third degree, or maybe he really did give her the ol' raccoon eyes makeover. Time will tell.

Re: Castronovo Arrested
Totally on board with your thought process, Matt. But if these guys are gonna lock a guy up for something like this, the least they can do is validate the fucking arrest with more specific details. By leaving out specifics, they're either unfairly protecting Deen or unfairly vilifying him. Either way, it's bullshit.
