At least Cleveland fans got to keep their name and history and the promise of a new Browns franchise within 3 years. Try being a former Baltimore Colts fan. The NFL promised us nothing.

And our fans don't throw beer bottles. Wink

Not sure, but even the plastic ones had to have had some beer in them to make it on the field. Dangerous as hell either way.

Well those pictures were from 2001 so it probably was still glass back then.

Hey - I never claimed my fellow Cleveland fans aren't dumb asses.......

You guys are all my friends right??? Good, I'm gonna tell you about the stupid moment I had yesterday.....it's actually embarassing so I can't believe I'm even gona tell, but.....I'm among friends....here goes...

When I first read this topic, I thought Ed was talking about Pro-bowling....as in professional bowling....I could not for the life of me figure out what professional bowling had to do with football.....then, what's even worse is I read the thread and kept thinking..."I didn't know those two were professional bowlers-that's weird." Still couldn't make the connection between the NFL and the PBA.....

Luckily, when I read it this morning again it clicked and I knew exactly what he was talking about.

However, in my defense, I did work all night and only had about an hour of sleep in the morning when I read this yesterday afternoon.......OK, have a good laugh now, I deserve it.

Pro Bowlers.....I remember it best from the film "Kingpin". Randy Quaid looks at Woody Harrelson and says "wow Mr.Munson, its really intimidating being in the presence of such great athletes..." Then the camera pans around and theres a bunch of fat guys drinking beer wearing bowling shirts......

I had forgotten about that movie but yep...that's what I pictured, two overaged, overweight guys with bad comb-overs in polyester plaid pants suitin' up for the Ravens........

Thank you for your support.

I'm just waiting for Gator to PM me and tell me I'm out of the GatorNation on the premise that they don't allow stupid people in.
